a most momentous week

It has been a hell of a week. But in a good way. No, in an impossibly zenith-surpassing kind of way.

In one week, I celebrated mother's day and my dad's 65th birthday (same day this year!), my mom's 65th birthday 7 days later, fred's birthday, which is (not coincidentally) also our anniversary, and my graduation. Aside from all the celebration, this past week (or really, the past 10 days) has been about spending time with my visiting parents, though it culminated in my betrothal to Fred!

Highlights from the week with my parents:

* Boat tour around the whole of Manhattan

* Fun times at Cafe Lalo

* Walking through Fort Tryon park and stumbling upon the Russian Children's Culture Festival before enjoying the Cloisters.
* Rainbow Room views and cocktails where Fred asked my dad for my hand (in Korean, and unbeknownst to the rest of us -- we were all in the ladies room)

* Sunday brunch -- a New York institution -- at our favorite neighborhood bistro. It was my parents' last day in town and we enjoyed a delectable brunch, opened presents for dad, mom, and fred. We had a beautiful fruit tart from SilverMoon bakery in which the restaurant placed 3 candles for the special guests.

The proposal may merit a post of its own, so I will return to that topic later :)
