Found Time, yipee!

So, imagine you’ve planned a group dinner for 8-10 people (again) at some group-friendly, everyone-can-find-something, you’re-way-too-familiar-with-citysearch kind of place. Now imagine that everyone slowly bails on the dinner plans throughout the day, and tells you they’ll meet up with you later for drinks & karaoke. Sometimes this is a bummer, but more often than not, the reaction is more like, “SWEET. Found time.”

Sometimes found time is an unexpected treat, like an indulgent dessert, that you milk by blissfully doing as little as possible. That was me on Saturday night (pre-drinks/bad singing, of course).

And then there are the days when found time turns you a little rabid and you suddenly feel like you have time to start/finish all the projects you’ve been putting off (like publicly advertising a day’s worth of thought-goo). That is me today.

Of course, half the house is in disarray since I am better at starting projects than finishing them  (I’m working on this). I’ve re-arranged a significant amount of the furniture [p<0.05], then bought and constructed a 36-pair shoe rack, and am now unsure about either venture.

The front entryway is still half-painted a lovely shade of poo (aka Shakespeare Tan). And neither of my other splash wall projects has even begun. But who knows? Since I suddenly got a day off from work, I am feeling pretty invincible. I’ll check in later (or maybe not), to report what’s been accomplished.
