So, every Saturday I try to meet up with my girlfriends from school (some of them graduated last May, some of us are still grueling through) for brunch on the upper west side. I usually walk home along Broadway, which means way too many opportunities to shop. So I almost always end up lugging home way more than I left with. Last weekend, I picked up a new digital camera, some perfume, and a few underthings so I wouldn't have to worry about laundry until after Election Day.
Speaking of which, woohoo!!!!
I wish I had more time to report on what's been keeping me occupied, but suffice it to say I've been well occupied. The quick and dirty version goes thus: interning at United Way and love it, ascended to rock god heaven in Guitar Hero 2 on the very first day it arrived (a day early, too, since we pre-ordered.. I know.. big big nerds), answering student questions left and right for the Epidemiology class I assist, designing nutrition lesson plans for East Harlem kiddies, and brushing up on my clinical nutrition knowledge and playing ukulele when I can (not at the same time, of course). Can you say "run on"? Which reminds me, there's a stack of articles for me to edit now...
toodles,
maggiemaggiemoon!
PS I've also had some absolutely lovely days here and there, and have even composed essays on them in my head (my inner monologue speaks in lyrical prose), but there they remain.
